My name is Carmine D’Avanzo and I am a software engineer with over 15 years of experience in the tech industry. My journey began with a passion for electronic circuits, which later sparked my interest in software engineering. Today, I have extensive experience in developing websites, web applications, mobile apps (both native and hybrid for Android and iOS), and embedded systems.
My journey started with a deep love for electronic circuits, which I studied extensively during my time at university. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Electronic Engineering. After that I discovered the fascinating world of software development.
I enjoy studying new things and continuously adapt to what the market needs, ensuring my skills remain relevant and cutting-edge. This adaptability has allowed me leading to a fulfilling career as a Software Engineer. Since then, I have worked on a diverse range of projects, constantly evolving and adapting to new technologies.
Currently, I work as a Computer Science Professor, where I have the opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of software engineers. In addition to my role as a teacher, I work as a freelance Software Engineer, taking on projects that allow me to apply my skills in real-world applications. My work involves leveraging my expertise in software to create innovative and efficient solutions.
Outside of work, I have a variety of hobbies and interests that keep me inspired and balanced. I enjoy playing the piano and guitar, and I find chess to be a great way to exercise my strategic thinking skills. I’m also a sports enthusiast and an avid tennis player, which helps me stay active and refreshed. Another passion of mine is riding my motorcycle — for me, it’s more than just a hobby; it’s a way to clear my mind, find inspiration, and embrace the freedom of the open road.
